Our Beloved Jalen Davis 28 passed away Monday Dec. 6, 2021, in his home. He was born in Marion on June 19, 1993, to his mother Helen Pettiford and father Danny Davis. Jalen attended Marion High School, where he discovered a love for working concessions at different games and events. Jalen was baptized at an early age and enjoyed attending Living Water Apostolic Church. He liked listening to music and playing video games with his brothers and friends. Jalen also enjoyed sports and reading.

He leaves to cherish his many memories his mother Helen Pettiford (Marion IN) his father Danny Davis (Greenville MS) His older brother Jamar Pettiford (Indianapolis IN) two younger brothers Jashon (Tori) Pettiford and Javon Pettiford (Marion IN) a niece Laelah whom he loved so much. He also leaves aunts, Peggy Pettiford, Venita (Ron) Newton and his uncle Gary Pettiford (all of Marion IN). He has several cousins whom he had great childhood memories with and a host of aunts, uncles, and friends. Jalen was loved by many, his friends Jay Butler, Desmond Foxx, Tyler Greenwood, Cornell "Boo" and Joseph Wimsatt are among those that will truly miss him.

Jalen was preceded in death by his grandmother whom he loved dearly, Joyce Pettiford and Grandfather David Pettiford. Great grandparents Maude White and Thornton and Helen Pettiford as well as many great aunts and uncles.

Funeral arrangements will be held Thursday Dec. 16, 2021, at Greater Second Baptist Church 705 W 26th St Marion IN 46953.

Viewing 10am – 12pm, Funeral at 12pm
