Michael M Guy, 39, of Marion, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 15th, 2024, at his home. He was born in MGH in Marion, Indiana on March 11, 1985, to Michael A. Guy and Vera J Cole. He was baptized at an early age by REV Standford Bolden, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Marion, Indiana. He married his estranged wife on May 20, 2017, she survives.
As a young child, Michael attended MCS. He loved to play basketball, football, bowling, and Taekwondo. He excelled in everything he wanted to do. He was a very smart young man. His favorite subject in school was math. He was always good with numbers. He took a trip to Texas for a karate tournament and came back home with a lot of medallions and trophies. He knew he was something special.
As Michael grew older, he still loved to bowl. He never wanted to be in the spotlight, but he was very excited when he bowled his first 300 series at Crest Lanes, here in Marion. After finding a good paying job, he went back to school to get his GED. From there, he went on to obtain his CDLs and became an over-the-road truck driver. He loved and enjoyed driving his semi. Michael was employed with PepsiCo in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was currently in college to get a degree in business administration. He just finished his first semester with a 3.61 GPA. Michael enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He liked it best when he and his family would go on vacations. He would take his children to theme parks, water parks, and any place they would say they wanted to go. He was such a wonderful grandson, son, bother, father, and friend.
In addition to his estranged wife, he leaves behind to mourn his death, his mother Vera Cole, stepmother Annette Guy, sons; Da'Kavion Hensley, Keylan Guy, Jermaine Hyland, and Raa'Von Guy, daughters; Oniah (Caleb) McPheron, Aun'Draya Guy, and Say'Ora Guy, a granddaughter Onora McPheron; Sisters Natecia Guy, Tomika (Miguel) Hernandez, Erica Guy, and Casandra (Andre) Jackson, bother Wesley Guy; grandparents Clarence Sr., and Paulette Cole; aunts Pamela (Kevin) Wallace, Nechesa Dean, Clara (Sam) Flemmons, Kimberly (Malcolm) Baily, and Daphne Guy; Uncles Clarence Cole Jr., Jeffrey Cole Sr., James Randolph, Gregory Guy Sr., and Rodney Guy; 6 nephews; Latrell, Lavontae, Marcus Jr., Jerontay, Zaiden, and Cassius; 5 nieces; Rahnekia, De'Aziah, RayAuna, Tillisa, Tillisha and a host of family, friends, and in-laws.
Michael was proceeded in death by his father, Michael A. Guy, stepfather Garry Jones, Uncles Chadwick Guy, Charles "Chuck" Strons; niece Rah'Naijah Taylor; a great-niece Zoeluh Smith; grandparents Charles "Charlie" Guy and Ethal "Edna" Guy; Great Grandparents Annie Mae Smith, Elsie Cole, and Louisa McNair, and a very special cousin Jessica R. S. Cole.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on August 3, 2024, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 3225 S. Washington Street, Marion, Indiana. Immediately following the time of visitation, the service of the celebration of Michael's life will begin at 2:00pm with REV. Al Curtis Green officiating. This will conclude the service and we will proceed to Prince Hall for his celebration.

I worked with Michael in Fort Wayne. He was always so nice and I was so happy when he got hired on full time with us. My prayers to the family.
