Patricia Worrick Obituary

Patricia L. Worrick, 86 passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at Colonial Oaks Healthcare. She was born to John and Louise Helen (Nelson) Eastes on December 4, 1936, in Grant County. She graduated from Marion High School in 1954 and married Phillip Worrick Sr. on November 20, 1955, and he survives.

For 21 years, Patricia worked as a telephone operator, demonstrating her dedication to her job and her ability to connect people. Patricia's devotion to her family was evident in the way she cared for and supported her loved ones. She cherished the bonds she shared with her relatives, always making sure they felt loved and valued. Her home was often filled with the aroma of delicious meals she prepared with love, as cooking was one of her greatest joys. She had a gift for creating traditional dishes that brought people together and created lasting memories around the dinner table. She was not only a family-oriented individual but also deeply involved in her community. She was a proud member of the Eastern Star for 54 years and also served as the UMW president demonstrating her dedication to her faith and her willingness to serve others. She and Phillip attended Hanfield United Methodist Church and most recently Northview Church at the YMCA. Patricia was baptized at Union Chapel Baptist Church.

Patricia is survived by her husband Phillip; children Deborah Berryman, Phillip Worrick Jr. (Amy Jimenez), and Troy Worrick; grandchildren Aleasha (Meredith) Shipman, Abby Worrick, Kristie (Sam) Koch, Joseph (Haley) Patrick, Jason Smith, Amber (Adam) Land; step-grandchildren Doug Michael, Brian Michael, Johnny Michael and Katelyn Worrick-Pearcy; great-grandchildren Malachi (Lexi) Koch, Elijah Koch, Zion Koch, Jude Koch, Hudson Shipman, Norah Shipman, Jameson Shipman, Sebastian Patrick, Oliver Patrick, Ezra Patrick, Layden, Jynsen, Collins, and great-great granddaughter Scarlet. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Benjamin (MaryEllen) Eastes.

Arrangements for Patricia have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 North Main Street, Upland, Indiana 46989, where a visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, from 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. Eastern Star service will begin at 2:00 P.M. and a funeral service will follow with Pastor Malachi Koch officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital 2001 West 86th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46260.
