Paula Elaine Brankle, age 78, of Van Buren, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. She was born on October 6, 1946 in Danville, Kentucky to the late Lloyd and Beatrice (Parsons) Towery.
Paula held several jobs in her life. She was an elementary school secretary, a bank teller, and she worked at Indiana Wesleyan University. However, her favorite career was as a homemaker, caring for her family and, more recently, investing in her 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Chapel Pike Wesleyan Church. Paula loved to travel. She was very fond of Branson, Missouri and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where she loved listening to Christian and country music.
Paula is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Myron Brankle; her children Daniel Brankle, Greg (Sarah) Brankle, Sheryl Shook, Aaron (Tina) Brankle, grandchildren Lauren (Kyle) Harrison, Jacob Brankle, Sydney (Ryne) Menefee, Joshua (Vicki Toth) Shook, Evan (Sierra) Brankle, Sierra (Nick King) Shook, Tommy Beers, Liam Brankle, great-grandchildren Remy, Beckett, and Arwen Harrison, Brooks Menefee, Rowen and Rhett Shook, Elias and Ezekiel Brankle, Eliana and Easton King, siblings Judy (Richard) Zent. Mark (Julie) Towery, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Chapel Pike Wesleyan Church, 2171 W. Chapel Pike, Marion, IN, on Tuesday, May 13. Visitation will be from 10 – 12 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12 PM with Pastors Steve Colter and Brad Wright officiating.
Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorial contributions may be directed, in Paula's memory, to Chapel Pike Wesleyan Church. Donor envelopes will be provided at the funeral.
