Ronald E. Foudray, Sr., 80, passed away in his Marion home on September 22, 2021. He was born in Flemming County, Kentucky to the late Belford H. and Lilly B. (Hatfield) Foudray on July 14, 1941.
Ron came to Grant County with his parents and siblings as a young boy. He was a United States Army Veteran and honorably served during the Vietnam War. When he returned home he worked as a mechanic and traveled extensively setting up repair locations for McLean Trucking Company. Ron's passion was song writing and playing anything with strings but he was especially fond of playing acoustic guitar. His love of music was shared with his family and friends. Ron was an attentive listener to everyone and enjoyed visiting with people sharing ideas, current events and his not so humble opinions. He was a history buff and an avid reader of many things which influenced much of his ability to be a great conversationalist.
Ron is survived by his son, Ronald E. (Samantha) Foudray, Jr., Palm Coast, Florida; siblings, Gilbert (Linda) Foudray, Belford H. "Junior" (Joyce) Belford, Jr. and Neva Ann Loch, all of Marion; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Foudray; children, John G. Foudray and Michael A. Foudray; siblings, James Foudray, Laura Woodall, Iva Hogan, Frances Clark, Dorothy Miller, Madeline Thompson and Ina Foudray.
Visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm, Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Marion Chapel, 2722 South Washington Street, Marion, Indiana. Uncle Ronnie.. I have not the words to say except I am so saddened by the news of you going to your forever home. I always remember as a kid that I thought you were a famous country singer in Tennessee. I will miss you so very much and I just can't express the heartbreak it is losing you. Love you and tell Ann and John I said hello
