Send FlowersRoxane Himes, age 64, of Jonesboro, Indiana, passed away at 3:07 pm on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. Born on June 1, 1961, in Marion, Indiana, Roxane was the beloved daughter of Thomas and Norma (Simpson) Himes.
Roxane attended Mississinewa High School and Carol High School. She dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a Home Health Aide with Hometown Home Healthcare. She was a devoted member of Southside Wesleyan Church, where she actively participated in the Wesleyan Women's group and Bible study.
Roxane had a warm and generous spirit. In her earlier years, she found joy in babysitting and always cherished time spent with her nieces and nephews. She loved reading, socializing, shopping, and collecting tumblers, hoodies, pens, and purses. She also enjoyed crafting, attending craft shows, and cheering on the Indianapolis Colts. Roxane will be remembered for her kindness, her love of family, and the joy she brought to those around her.
She is survived by her sisters, Patricia (Harley) Coffey of Gas City and Vivian (Tim Savely) Himes of Jonesboro; nieces, Chrissy (Kurt) Sutton, Michelle (Kurk) Tucker, Molly (Tom) Burton, and Cheryl (Gary Dean) Coffey; nephew, Chad Coffey; great-nieces, Katie Jo (Michael) Aguirre, Kelsie (Daniel Oehler) Coffey, Johnna (Cheyenne) Holliday, Mariah Bennett, Kassie (Abigail) Sutton, Katie (Spenser Gibson) Sutton, and Cade (Jorge Rodriguez) Coffey; great-nephews, Kody Sutton, Cody Hensley, Collin Coffey, Jacob Bradford, and Kurtis Tucker; many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews including Leah, Madison, Clayton, Corbin, Jace, Ryleigh, Lilah, Ellison, Orion, Christopher, Daniel, Isaac, Micah, Maddox, Karter, and Karson; and special friends, Lisa Carter and Rhonda Bush.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Himes, Sr., and Norma D. Himes; her brother, Thomas "Jim" (Susan) Himes, Jr.; nephew, James P. Himes; great-nieces, Faith and Hope Bradford-Burton; and great-great-niece, Olivia Fritch.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Roxane's life will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor Gary Bracken officiating. Burial will take place at Gardens of Memory in Marion.

Roxane's last gift to others was her selfless act of being a cornea donor. Her legacy of giving lives on through her donation.
