Steffanie Lyn Jourdain, age 47, passed away in her home in Marion, Indiana, on Thursday, August 29, 2024. She was born in Olympia, Washington, to Rita Garriott, and was a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, mother, grandmother (Mi Mi), and friend. She was a graduate of Marion High School and spent most of her working life in the food and customer service industry, throughout which she made many lifelong friends. Steffanie was known for her love of singing, passion for music and dancing, and was often the life of the party. She enjoyed binge-watching movies with her kids, and she had a particular fondness for Reese's Cups. Steffanie had a fun-loving, comedic spirit about her, with a unique talent for making people laugh. She was incredibly generous, and she often put the needs of others before her own.
Steffanie adored her children and her grandson, and she was eagerly looking forward to the arrival of her granddaughter.
Survivors include her parents, Glen and Rita Garriott of Marion; children, Klayton (Keegan) Hinshaw of Fredericksburg, VA, Lily Ann Suman of Marion, and Khloe Jourdain-Bradford of Marion; siblings, Christina (Jerry) Rowland of Marion, Travis Jourdain of CA, Malissa (Jordan) Parks of Niceville, FL, and Chad (Nikki) Garriott of Marion; grandparents, Richard "Dick" and Cheryl Garriott of Marion; aunt, Clara (Bon) Brubaker of Marion; uncles, Kelley (Lynann) Harmon of Marion, Marvin (Nancy) Harmon of Marion, and Greg (Terri) Garriott of Marion; grandson, Maverick Hinshaw; granddaughter (that will be arriving soon), Riley Hinshaw; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly.
Steffanie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Richard and Frances Harmon, and her grandmother, Sondra Garriott.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave, Marion, IN.
Immediately following the visitation, a memorial service for Steffanie will begin at 11:00 am with Ken Wilson officiating.
