William Keys Obituary

William "Bill" Keys, a long-time resident of Fairmount, Indiana passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025. He was born on September 6, 1931 in Putnam County, Indiana to J. Evarts and Elsie (Chappell) Keys.

He was a graduate of Waveland High School and served in the US Army before moving to the Fairmount area.

For many years he was a long-haul trucker and was well known in the area for his antique tractor collection.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters and a brother. Bill leaves behind three grandchildren, several great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Bill will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 4-6pm at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S Main Street in Fairmount. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 3:00 pm with a visitation prior from 1-3pm at Browns Valley Christian Church, 9011 S IN 47 outside of Crawfordsville. Burial will follow the service at Freedom Cemetery on SR 234 outside of Waveland. Share memories and condolences at www. SandersFuneralCare.com.
