I didn't know Cicely well, but had met her on several occasions when we both worked in the schools system. I remember her because she had an aura of peace around her, and of compassion. She was someone who made you relax and smile. She is unforgettable. Rest in peace, dear lady, and God give your family and friends comfort.

Our family memories of Cicely are the hours courtside as she encouraged all the tennis players with Will and Jess. She had a special way with young people. And parents appreciated her support. To all the remaining family our prayers and condolences. Leo and Louise Curtin and family.

My heart is absolutely broken for the loss of one of my favorite people ever in this world. There has never been and never will be a kinder, more loving or genuine friend, wife, mother, sister, teacher, administrator than Cicely. May God Bless Tommy, Jesse and Will with happy memories of a wonderful life with an actual angel who lived on earth and filled our hearts with love.

I hope that your tears of sadness and joy can heal and your memories will comfort. Cicely will be missed, and her purpose on earth may be done, but the lives of the children and adults that were influenced by her love and kindness will continue to be felt. Be proud and may peace be with you.

Cicely was a remarkable brilliant woman. As my administrator, she led in a patient and kind way, but expecting the best. She was encouraging and supporting. I know she is spending Easter singing with the angels in heaven. I am thankful and blessed that God allowed her to be a part of my life. She left me with wisdom and beautiful memories. Prayers for you her family, who I know she was proud of and loved deeply.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. I met Cicely when her son Jesse was my student. Later, we both worked at Pleasant Grove Elementary together. She was always such a kind, caring, and loving person with a warm smile. You were a better person just by knowing her.

Cicely was my first & best friend here in Sugarmill. That was 40 years ago. Our families loved each other & it saddens me to know we are no longer able to share this sweet bond of friendship. But I rejoice today that her struggles are over & she is safe in her Fathers arms.
