Claudine Adelle Casey

Claudine Adelle Casey, 93, Lecanto, died April 18, 2013, in the Citrus Co. Hospice House. Mrs. Casey was born March 13, 1920, in Detroit, Mich., and moved to this area from New Port Richey. She was employed as a bookkeeper for social services prior to retirement and attended Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church. Claudine especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren in addition to sewing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard H. Casey Oct. 21, 2000. Left to cherish her memory are three children, Jean (Dr. Robert) Holstein of Inverness, Richard "Dick" (Reba) Casey, Middletown, Ohio, Don (Kathy) Casey, Lansdale, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Kristi, Kori, Ryan, Patrick, Brenna, Stacy, and Scott; and six great-grandchildren.
Her life will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home. Her grandson, the Rev. Ryan Casey will be officiating. Cremation arrangements will follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted by the Sumter Schools Enhancement Foundation which will provide scholarships for students in the Sumter County High Schools.
