I am sure no one will read this but having thought of Dwight from time to time, I did a little research and found his obit and want to take the opportunity to say a few words about your husband and dad.
I coached Dwight at Morse High School his junior and senior seasons. Subsequently, I coached another thirty years but never coached a harder worker or a more competitive athlete. He worked himself to the bone, always in exceptional condition, your dad would outrun, out hustle, and out work anyone we played against. His scoring skills were really good; and he could score anytime he wanted to. But, more than anything, Dwight
was indefatigable. That's the best way to describe him. Incapable of defeat. My guess is he carried that trait throughout his life and he sons have inherited that same competitive zeal. My condolences for your loss. Dwight was quite a guy. Coach Hamlin

Dear Cara, Todd & Troy,
My heart goes out to you and is heavy with hearing of Dwight's passing. He was a fine man--a good father and husband--and always put his family first. He loved each of you very much as was evident in our conversations from the time Troy started t-ball with me to when running into him in town. He was a respected pharmacist and I will miss him, his shaved head and the kind words he always spoke of you. We don't know what tomorrow brings, and that's why now more than ever, you will be in our prayers. May God give you the strength to remember the good times with Dwight and to keep your faith so you can look forward to the day you'll see him again.
Love--Kyle, Ann & Cory Deneau

I'm so sorry for your loss and remember Dwight fondly, if distantly.
Dwight lived down the street from our family house on Valley Road in Bath until I was 8 years old and we moved. He played with my brothers and hung out with a huge pack of little boys in that neighborhood.
I didn't know him well as we got older, but it saddens me that he is gone.
My sympathy to you and your family.

I was so sorry to hear of Dwight's passing. May you find comfort in the people and places that sustain you.
I, too, am a childhood friend of Dwight's from Bath, Maine. In fact, I declared Dwight my boyfriend in first grade. We sat under our desks eating Christmas tree cookies together--One of many fond childhood memories. So sorry for your loss.

I was very sad to hear that Dwight passed away. As one of his classmates, I can still see his grinning face walking the halls at Morse. It sounds like his life was filled with adventure and love. I hope that those memories comfort all of his family and friends and bring them peace.

I was in Dwight's class (and homeroom) in Bath. When I read of his passing I suddenly could see him sitting next to me, smiling in a friendly and a bit ironic (can you believe this is happening?) way. Don't remember the context, but do remember the wonderful smile.
My heartfelt condolences go out to Dwight's family.

Ben, Margaret, Cara and Family,
Growing up with Dwight in Bath and attending school with him from our elementary years through high school graduation, Dwight was that spark of enthusiasm at all of our athletic events. His passion for sports was second only to his intensity. I will remember how his face would redden as he cheered on his fellow teammates during close basketball games and can hear him bellow "Biggest and the Best - '79" as he rode with the senior float at homecoming. He was a physical speciman way back then.
My heart is saddened with the news of your loss. However, Dwight will be forever remembered in the hearts of all who loved him.
Live Strong,
Mary Ann Kinner
