Grace E. Scyocurka-Avery, age 79, of Inverness, FL, passed away January 23, 2025, at HCA Florida Ocala Hospital. Grace was born on November 26, 1945, in Vernon, CT to Leonard and Grace (Fowler) Woodard. She moved to Citrus County 30 years ago from CT. She was self-employed in the Retail Business.
In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Lewie and her brother, Lenny Woodard and her sister, Edith Lopolito.
Survived by her husband, Mark Avery; four children, Cheryl Parks, Elizabeth Frostman and her husband Dean, Deanne Lewie, Daniel Avery and his fiancée Ashley Mercado; one brother, Bobby Woodard; four grandchildren, Chris Saunders, Kyle Saunders, Codie Saunders and Payton Saunders; two great-grandchildren, Zane Saunders and Xander Saunders; numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.
Private cremation will take place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in Lecanto, FL. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on March 15th at the Brown Funeral Home in Lecanto, FL, with Pastor Lloyd Bertine, from Gulf to Lake Church in Crystal River, officiating.
