Joan Kohler Obituary

Joan Frances Kohler, 80, of Beverly Hills Fl, passed away May 10th, 2022, after a prolonged illness. Joan was born in Brooklyn, NY, and relocated to Pine Ridge Estates. Joan worked as a correspondent for The Visitor, a weekly section of The Citrus County Chronicle for many years. She was an active member and leader of the Scottish Club of Brooksville, FL, the NYC Transit Retirees Club of Florida, served as the editor of the Pine Ridge Post for 17 years, was an active leader in the Pine Ridge Estates HOA.

Joan was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Clements (nee Martin), her father, James Clements, and brother, Francis (Frank) Clements.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, Robert Kohler; children Barbara Kohler, James Kohler, and Sharon Kohler, all of Beverly Hills, FL; granddaughters Meredith (Brian) Shadwill of LaFayette, Ga, and Briane Shane (David Rivera) of Gainesville, FL; and great-grandchildren Robert, Annaliesa, and Brian, Jr.

No visitation will be held at this time. Joan was loved dearly by her family and friends and blessed us all with her very presence. She will be dearly missed and thought of fondly over a hot cup of Red Rose brand tea with milk.
