Kenneth Richard Pastorius, Age 57, of Beverly Hills, FL passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday, April 4, 2025. He was born on April 12, 1967 in Pittsburgh, PA. He moved with his family to Crystal River, Florida in 1978 and graduated from Crystal River High School in 1985.
Kenny was a beloved son of the late Richard and Beverly Pastorius and a cherished brother of Randall (Kathy) Pastorius, Sandra (Joe) Prekop, Sue Ellen Pastorius, and Daniel (Elizabeth) Pastorius. He was a loving uncle to Matthew (Milena), Melissa, Benjamin (Olivia), Caroline Pastorius, Richard and Bevalina Prekop, Christian (Kali) Barber and great-uncle to Cason and Clayton Barber.
Kenny was a believer and a member of The Roman Catholic Church. He was a former Local 5 Union Electrician and an extremely talented musician. Because of his talents, he received a scholarship playing the Saxophone and Clarinet. Kenny enjoyed all kinds of music especially jazz. He also enjoyed watching the sunset with an ice cold beer (Florida style). Kenny was proud of his German and Irish Heritage and liked watching movies and sports. Go Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates … Bucs too!
Kenny really liked to communicate on the phone with family and friends. Good luck getting off the phone because he could talk your ear off, which will definitely be missed. He enjoyed the simpler things in life – a phone call or handwritten note meant the world to him. He enjoyed doing crafts at the clubhouse where he lived and liked going out on the boat in the Crystal River located in Crystal River, Florida to see the Florida Manatees, singing, "I found my thrill on BlueBerry Hill". Good Times!
It was like pulling teeth to get Kenny out of the house, but once he was out he enjoyed visiting family in South Florida and up in the mountains of North Carolina. He always enjoyed going out and socializing with family and friends on the weekends in "The Burgh", sometimes entertaining the audience up on stage and surprising many people with his gifted talent from above (playing the saxophone, which he whaled at). It was a sight to see for sure. We always agreed when we were out and about on the slogan of the Irish Gaelic: Tiocfaidh Ar La (Chucky ar la, meaning "Our Day Will Come"). No money man will win my Luv Huv ...You wanna get risky? Cheers Brother Kenny!
He is greatly missed and deeply loved by many, especially family and friends that really knew him. He is joyfully smiling and laughing with all of us. We love you Kenny and will reunite again one day. More importantly, we thank Almighty God for giving you such a big heart and for loving and thinking of us all the time. If you want to imagine Kenny enjoying himself right now listen to Spyro Gyra-(Morning Dance), Chuck Mangione-(Feels so Good) or David Sanborn-(As We Speak), Marcus Miller-(Run For Cover), Kenny G-(Silhouette or Songbird) and you'll feel Kenny's presence when the saxophone kicks in. Kenny used to play these songs and many more all of the time on his saxophone. So turn it up and enjoy remembering the good times with Kenny. Peace my brother. God Bless you, Kenny.

To My Brother Kenny,
I cannot even begin to put into words how deeply I miss you. I am so lost without you. I never realized as much as you depended on me to be your sister and caregiver, I needed you as my brother and my purpose. I miss talking with you. You are truly an Angel and Life was not fair to you. You had the most compassionate heart and soul. Before you left this earth, you told me you were not afraid to die because Jesus told you he is waiting for you. You also said that you were worried about me. I didn't understand then, but I do now. I will grieve you, I will always cherish our times together good and bad. When I was told it was time to take the caregiver hat off and put the sister hat on, it released me to enjoy and laugh and lovingly care for you every second of the end of your life. It was the best days of my life with you and I knew you were so happy as well. I know you are with God and with Mom and Dad. Thank you for always looking after me as well.
I will forever miss you, I will see you soon Kenny and I can't wait! Grab a Saxophone so I can hear you play with joy in your heart! Sing with the Angels my dear brother.
Love Always, Sue Ellen

Kenny was a very kind hearted man did his very best to always have a smile on his face and something pleasant to say he will most definitely be missed. One thing for sure he could play the saxophone like no one else. No more pain no more suffering just go and fly high. Much love to you and you will be missed by many.
