Leda Kerr Obituary

Leda B. (Garrison) Kerr, age 88, of Homosassa, FL, died on January 19, 2025 in Danville, PA at the home of her son.

Born in Elmira, NY on February 13, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Vernon H. and Louise Driscoll Garrison. A graduate of the Troy (PA) High School and received her B.S. and M.S. from Bloomsburg State College.

Leda taught English and Theatre at Southern Columbia Area High School in Catawissa, PA from 1967-1981. When she moved to Florida, she taught at Inverness Area High School from 1981-1997.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Lavere McClure and Robert A. Kerr; and a sister, Gloria Brown.

Surviving are two sons, Larry W. McClure and his wife, Carol, with whom she resided in Danville, and Lee Mark McClure, and his wife, Denise, of New Iberia, LA; stepdaughter, Ann Kerr Griffen, of Boney Lake, WA; stepson, Jeff Kerr; granddaughter, Samantha McClure Meche, of Lafayette, LA; step granddaughter, Jennifer Smith, of Waverly, OH; seven step great-grandchildren: Selena, Alicia, Andrea, Aza, Joseph, Connor, and Keristen; and three brothers: Myrt Garrison, and his wife Sandy, of East Smithfield, Bert Garrison, and his wife Phyllis, of Mansfield, and Frank Garrison, and his wife Rosemarie, of Texas.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Rd., Danville, PA 17821.
