Virginia (Jenny) G. Bass, age 82, was surrounded by her family when she peacefully passed on Monday March 13, 2023, after a long illness. Jenny was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was loving, fun, and had a way of making everyone she was with feel special.
Jenny was a member of Crystal River United Methodist Church, where she loved singing in the choir.
Born in Jacksonville, FL, she met her future husband 70 years ago. They built a wonderful life together that allowed them to live in several cities, eventually bringing them to Crystal River in 1998.
Jenny enjoyed traveling and especially to Ormond Beach for the annual Bass family vacation. She loved her frequent shopping days with her daughter. Spending time with her family, friends and her dog Lucky brought great joy that resonated to everyone around her.
Jenny is survived by her husband, Ronald K. Bass, son, David (Cindy) Bass, daughter, Ronda (Marcus) Brinson and son, Mark Bass. She had three grandchildren, Cassie Hoffmann, Kenny Andrews and Austin Bass, and a great-grandson, Dylan Hoffmann. She is also survived by her sisters Rosemarie Patterson and Kathleen Jacobs.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the loving staff of Bravera Health Seven Rivers Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 10AM-11AM, Tuesday March 21, 2023 with Memorial Service beginning at 11:00AM at Crystal River United Methodist Church, 4801 N Citrus Ave, Crystal River, Florida, 34428.
