William James Alcorn

Mr. William James Alcorn, age 85 of Beverly Hills, FL and Rockland, MA, died while surrounded by his family on Saturday February 6, 2016 in Lecanto, FL. He was born November 7, 1930 in Port Glasgow, Scotland, son of Howard and Mary (Coyle) Alcorn. He was an Inventor and worked as an Engineer with Pneumatic Scale Corporation in Quincy, MA, for 37 years before retiring.
Mr. Alcorn was a past Masonic Grand Master and member of Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church, Lecanto, FL. Mr. Alcorn was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Cecil Alcorn and Howard Alcorn, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Beatrice Alcorn of Beverly Hills, FL and Rockland, MA; two sons, David Alcorn of Beverly Hills, FL and Howard Alcorn of Clearwater, FL; one daughter, Freena Ferguson of Estero, FL; and two sisters, June Doherty of South Hampton, England and Blanche Douglas of Port Glasgow, Scotland.
