Dorothy Thurston Obituary
Dorothy was the loving wife of the late Julian Dan Thurston; devoted mother of Danny Thurston, Linda Carpenter, Janie Lembke, Tim Thurston, Danette Thurston and Donna Thurston; cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; sister of Bertha (Sis) Miley and John (Jack) Wiser. Dorothy passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the age of 90. Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 25 at Ogle & Paul R. Young Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7345 Hamilton Ave., from 2PM until time of funeral service at 3PM. Burial will take place with friends and family the following day at Arlington Memorial Gardens at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to China Now Ministries or Christian Deaf Church. Online condolences may be expressed at:

My condolences go out to the Thurston family. I have known her since I was in high school and she and I have the same birthday together. I love her so much and she was a great woman with a beautiful smile. I will miss send her a exchange birthday card in the mail. I will never forget her and she is in my spirit.

Our sympathies go out to the entire Thurston family. Lydia and I will be out of town and unable to make the service which I sorely regret as both Dot and Dan Thurston (and their children) blessed my life significantly through their active ministry at Highview Christian Church. Their impact is multi-generational as our children were also baptized at Highview and are believers today and imparting their faith to their children now. May God bless you all and keep you until that very special day where those in Christ will be reunited. Rick & Lydia Coyle
