Gregory EWING Obituary

EWING Dr. Gregory James, 34, died suddenly Wednesday, May 12, 2004 in Oceanside, CA as the result of a traffic accident. Born October 11, 1969 in Orlando, FL, he was a long time resident of Cincinnati, OH. He lived in Oceanside for 2-1/2 years. He was a chemist for Biota Inc., a biotech company in Carlsbad, CA. Gregory, was a graduate of Hanover University, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He received his graduate degree from Purdue University. He was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church in Vista, CA and an avid bicyclist. Mr. Ewing is survived by his wife of 10 years, Deborah Ewing, son Jacob (5) and daughter Elizabeth (3), all of Oceanside; mother and stepfather Bonnie and William Price of Cincinnati; brother Jeremy Ewing; sister Amy Ewing; and grandparents Eugene Ewing of Eaton, Ohio, and Martha Price of Cincinnati; as well many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James T. Ewing and his grandparents, Mary Ewing, Jack ad Vilva Roll and step-grandfather Robert Price Sr. A memorial service is scheduled for 5:30 P.M., Saturday, June 12 at College Hill Presbyterian Church, 5742 Hamilton Ave. in Cincinnati, with the Rev. Stephen Eyre officiating. Private inurnment is planned. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Gregory's memory to the Ewing Childrens Educational Fund, 1705 Avenida Segovia, Oceanside, CA 92056.
