Jack SCHAEFFER Obituary

SCHAEFFER

Jack, D. December, 1931-August, 2011. Resident of Payson, AZ. Following a courageous three-year battle with cancer, Jack passed away peacefully at his home in Payson. Jack was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa and lived most of his life raising his family in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he worked for Procter and Gamble for over 30 years as patent counsel. Jack earned both his undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Iowa. He was born to the late Donald and Mildred Schaeffer and was one of three siblings, Donna Struhar and Gary Schaeffer (deceased). Jack was the beloved husband of Charlotte Schaeffer (nee Shrader) for almost 60 years. Jack will be forever remembered by his devoted children Wendy Schaeffer, Lynn Meeks, Amy Moore, Eric Schaeffer and Craig Schaeffer, treasured grandchildren, Christa Olson, Jordan and Jillian Moore, Patrick and Jacqueline Wolfe, Michael, Ryan and Alyssa Schaeffer, Hannah, Jackson, Luke and Charlotte Schaeffer, and four great grandchildren, along with countless other friends, family and associates who were blessed to know him. Jack dearly loved his family and was actively involved in their lives. He loved reading and engaging in thought-provoking discussion with family and friends. Jack touched the lives of many people with his wisdom, wit, and integrity and maintained his great sense of humor and dignity all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 1 PM until funeral service at 2 PM at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. Reception following immediately thereafter at the residence of Karen and Craig Schaeffer, 7669 Standers Knoll, West Chester, Ohio 45069. The family requests all donations be sent to Payson Rehab/Payson Fire Department (400 W. Main Street, Payson, AZ 85541), Hospice Compassus (511 S.
