Cincinnati - Jacqueline C. "Jackie" Bales Donoghue, 84, beloved wife of the late James "Jim" Patrick Donoghue, daughter of the late Adele and Jack Bales, died Sunday, February 4, 2018 in Blue Ash, Ohio. Sister of Tom (Evelyn) Bales, the late Richard Bales, and the late Mary Ann Bales Tranter. Very special aunt/foster mother of the late Gregory Tranter. Special aunt of Steve (Debbie) Tranter & Stephanie and Stephen Tranter, and Mary (Noel) Karp & Doug and Holly Brady. Sister-in-law of Carol Bales. Godmother of Richard (Nancy) Craig. Several stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. From 1952-1971, Jackie was in the Franciscan Convent in Oldenburg, Indiana. Jackie's career of 35+ years as a teacher and freelance writer brought her much pleasure and fulfillment. Family and friends will be received from 11 AM - 12 PM on Friday, February 9 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8815 E Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 PM. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jackie may be directed to Sisters of St. Francis. www.tuftsschildmeyer.com
