Jane Ahern (nee Wimberg), 80, of Lincolnshire, IL and formerly of Cincinnati, OH; beloved wife of Tom; loving mother of Nancy (Tony) Ryan, Bob (Caryn) Ahern, Patty (Scott) Baxendale, and Jenny (John) Birmingham; loving daughter of the late John and Lillian Wimberg; proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and dear friend to many. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of memorial mass 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Saint Patrick Church (The New Church), 950 W Everett Rd, Lake Forest, IL 60045. We are saddened to learn of Jane's passing. She was a bright light in my youth, my favorite cousin and her parents were my favorite "aunt and uncle." She had the ability to relate to me well, was kind and fun to be around. We will miss her.

Condolences to the Ahern Family ~
It is with great sadness that I learned of Jane's death. She was one of eight girls who were the best of friends in high school at Mt. Notre Dame Academy. I was at her home the night that my dad died very suddenly and will always be grateful to her and her dear mother. May she rest in peace!
