In the last 5 years there have been so many changes and events for which I would have typically called Dad to share news and to hear his wonderful "that's so great to hear" response. I carry with me his positive outlook and steady demeanor. I only hope to become a similar role model for my kids and grandkids.

Linda & family,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your wonderful, loving husband & father. It truly was my pleasure & honor to be one of John's nurses. He is forever in my heart & I will never forget him or all of you & the love that surrounded him. He fought hard for the past 30 years & never gave up. He will always be remembered as one of our favorite patients on 7 South!! We love you John. We love you Linda & family. You are in our thoughts & prayers. May you rest in peace John.

I first met John as pitcher facing batter 8th grade. He batted from the left and I was a right handed pitcher. I hung a curve ball and he tatooed it over the right field fence. It was the only homer I gave up in my brief baseball career. I knew him at Purcell HS. He was always a gentleman and a friend. My condolences to the family.
