MIDDLETOWN, OH - D'Souza, Lucy (nee D'Cunha), age 92, passed away on March 11th. Lucy is survived by 5 children, 14 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Some of my fondest memories as a young girl were made with the D'SOUZA family. Terry & Colin playing guitar and singing. The family gathered around to listen, sing along, and always a wonderful aroma of Indian food filling the air of a loving and warm home. Lucy was always one of my favorite people even after our family moved away and the years separated us. Now I see that I was not the only one with warm and special feelings for such a wonderful woman. She will remain in so many people's heart & mine also.

To all the family: You are all in my prayers at this difficult time. I always think of love when I think of your mom and Nana. I am blessed to have known her for 45 years, and I have so many happy memories of time spent with her, from early days visiting and having huge portions of delicious food heaped on my plate to later years visiting her at Hawthorne Glen and catching up on family news. My three daughters and I came to love Lucy while visiting with her, painting her nails, and delivering popcorn at Hawthorn Glen; what a precious gift from God to be blessed to know your wonderful mother/grandmother for a short period of her life.
