I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sure Marlene has already received her wings. Blessings and strength are coming your way. There are very few childhood memories that I have where Marlene is not included. I've not had the pleasure to meet another soul that was as kind, giving, empathetic and loving as hers, even while she was going through the most painful times in her life. It was truly a privilege to have met, love and be loved by her. There are no words I can say to her family (whom I love dearly) that could ever make this better. But we all knew Mar had her unofficial wings down here on Earth and now she's one hell of a guardian angel in heaven. She loved you guys fiercely. And that love is something that can never be taken away.
With love, tears, payers and hugs,
Katie and Gunner

My heart is broken because you are gone. At the same time I am rejoicing for you as I am certain you are in Heaven and there is a reunion with your loved ones. I also believe that the deceased children from St. Joe's for whom you cared and loved unconditionally were waiting with excitement to see their Mar Mar again. You were an incredible person who gave of herself constantly to help others. I have no doubt you heard these words at the gates of Heaven " Well done my good and faithful servant.' I will cherish all the memories of our years of friendship, but 57 just doesn't seem enough. Love forever my dear friend until we meet again.
