Rita M. (nee Haarmann), beloved wife of the late Joseph "Walt" Speed, dear mother of Denny (Marian), Rick (Nancy), Jeff (Sandy) and Kevin Speed, Karen (Eric) Weaver and the late Diane Tiernan, also survived by Mike (Christy) Tiernan, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, sister of Lu McCaffrey, sister-in-law of Sr. Mildred Speed, Margie Haarmann and Bill Matre. Sunday, July 17, 2011, age 83. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6041 Hamilton Ave., College Hill, Wednesday 5:30-7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Assumption Church, 7711 Joseph St., Mt. Healthy, Thursday 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Western Golf Assoc.-Evans Scholars Found., 1 Briar Rd., Golf, IL 60029, or Hospice of Cincinnati. . Rita was such a wonderful person which was showned each time we were with her. She always had a positive attitude and spoke highly of her family. Stay strong through your difficult times ahead. We are very sorry for your loss.
