Scott LOWRY Obituary
LOWRY
Scott R. age 58 of Liberty Township passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015. He was born May 31, 1956 in Akron, Ohio the son of Donna (nee Shaffer) Lowry and the late Donald Lowry. Scott was a 1978 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and received his MBA from Florida Institute of Technology. He was a self-employed Financial Advisor for over 10 years, prior to that he worked as an Engineer for 20 years. He was a very active member of Cincinnati Donauschwaben for over 20 years. Scott is survived by his wife Barb Lowry; two daughters Samantha Lowry and Jacque Lowry; his mother Donna Lowry; and was the brother of Jeff (Susan) Lowry, Chuck (Darlene) Lowry, and the late Greg Lowry. A memorial visitation will be held at THE WEBSTER FUNERAL HOME 3080 Homeward Way at Rt. 4, Fairfield on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 2-5PM. A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 1:00PM at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 4601 Fairfield Avenue, Fairfield, with Pastor Tammy Jo Reiser, officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be appreciated to Special Olympics of Ohio, www.sooh.org., or to the charity of one's choice. www.websterfuneralhomes.com

I am very sad to hear of Scott's passing. He was a college friend of mine at Purdue. I have fond memories of him, especially on the day Purdue beat #1 Michigan in football (11/15/1976) and one summer day water skiing on one of the Finger Lakes. I regret not having kept up with him over the years. He was a good friend who liked to have fun.
