Frank Wright Obituary

Frank A. Wright

Swannanoa - Frank Albert Wright, 69, of Swannanoa passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011.

Mr. Wright was born February 2, 1942 in Yancey County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of his life.

Frank was owner/operator of Wright Machine & Tool Co, Inc. since 1970 and attended First Baptist Church, Swannanoa. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Pansy Fox Wright.

Frank is survived by his wife of 50 years, Doris Austin Wright; daughter, Paula Wright of Raleigh; son, Marty Wright and wife, Diana of Swannanoa; sister, Carolyn Morgan and husband, Scotty of Asheville; brothers, Archie Wright and wife, Erlene of Burnsville and Devoid Wright and wife, Janet of Piney Flatts, TN; grandchildren, Aaron Wright and wife, Marybeth and Anne Wright and two great-grandchildren, Elly and Eli.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Swannanoa with the Rev. Steve Rayburn officiating.

A private burial will take place at a later date.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, Swannanoa, General Fund, 503 Park St., Swannanoa, NC 28778 or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.

Arrangements are in the care of Harwood Home for Funerals, 828-669-2977.

I knew his as Albert, with the crooked grin. I went to school with him at Burnsville. I found him in the 1957 and 58 yearbooks, but was unable to find him in the yearbook for 1959, the year we went to Cane River. He was a nice kid. I don't know the family but I feel very sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers.
