I still miss George so much... He was such a sweet, great man and friend. Even following me down to Forrest City when my job transferred me there for 3.5 years.
I still have the cross he gave me shortly before he died hanging in my garden, it's a daily reminder of his sweet visits to the bookstore with G-2 Gatorade and snacks.. Mainly just for the company, do a little shopping and reminisce about his loved ones who had gone before him. I'll never forget his love and kindness... See you soon... ❤

April 5, 2015

Papa George was our neighbor and friend for almost 9 years, and we will miss him very much. He was a man with a great heart, and always took time to chat, and if he was in a hurry, at least a friendly wave from his big red truck. He drove that truck all over town and visited with the many friends that he made here, and will be missed by all. Goodbye Papa George, we will miss you.

Papa George was an outstanding man of honor and integrity. I first met him in December of 2008. A bond was immediately created between us as friends. And he was in someways like a "father figure" in my life, as he would stop by Family Christian Store several times a week to check on me. He even followed me down to the Forest City Store when I was transferred there for 3.5 years. We shared many times of prayer together over these years and I know he is rejoicing in the presence of the Lord today with his precious wife and son he talked about so often. He made such an impact on my life and the life of my employees over these years, HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!!
