Deepest sympathy and prayers for comfort to the Burchfiel family...What sweet memories of Brownie Scouting and the wonderful experiences JoEdith made sure we had ! Thank you for your servant heart ...for renewing those precious recollections of late, and for rekindling the ones made with my Dad and my childhood friends at Scouting events..you made an everlasting difference..thank you.

Mrs. Burchfiel was a wonderful teacher who taught her students well. I had the pleasure of having her my senior year in 1983 at Sylva Webster High for marketing. She always greeted me with a smile and a good morning. She helped me with my job and when I announced my wedding at the end of senior year she gave a set of glass ware. I still have those glasses, they have always reminded me of her. Many thoughts and prayers for the family.

Jo Edith was a dear lady. She made this chubby little Girl Scout feel good about herself. I will miss her cards and occasional phone calls. I am so sad that I failed to put her service on my schedule and missed her memorial today!
My prayers are with Dorthy, Eddie, and Luada and their families.
Sincerely,
Betsy McDowell (Susan Cooper)

The Burchfiels were often involved with our church activities. I always enjoyed Jo Edith's smile and greetings. She was more involved with the education program than I as was her husband Guy. I'm sure the comment that many of her students made leaves us with an enjoyable memory that we all enjoyed while she lived in our community. Dan
