John Wright Obituary
Navarre, FL - John Roy Wright, 60, of Navarre, Florida, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Gulf Breeze Hospital. Born in Asheville, North Carolina, to Edward and Beatrice Wright, he lived most of his life in Asheville before moving to Navarre in 1989.
John was a hard-working and completely selfless man, who devoted his life to his wife and two children. Most recently, John worked for Fort Walton Machining and thought very highly of his friends and colleagues employed there. John's precision eye for detail and goal of perfection fueled his passion to work on and maintain his own home, lawn, garden, and cars. John was loved and admired by all who knew him.
John is survived by his best friend and wife of 34 years, Joyce (Foster) Wright. He was very proud and loving of his two children, Jennifer (Wright) Puryear and Jonathan Wright. John is also survived by his sister, Kathleen (Wright) Johnson; and his brother, Robert Wright; as well as his only grandson, Henry Puryear; and his pug, Bella.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Lewis Funeral Home, 7794 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, Florida, on Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Funeral services for John will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. Please join in a celebration of his life.
