Kenneth Dalton Obituary
Asheville - Kenneth Leon Dalton, 76, of Asheville, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013.
Mr. Dalton was born December 6, 1936 in Kannapolis, NC. He was a resident of Buncombe County for most of his life.
He followed his grandchildren everywhere and supported each of them in all they did. Kenneth was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his sisters, Juanita Mills and Edith Howard.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara C. Dalton; daughter, Lisa Hall (Jim) of Asheville; sons, Kenneth Leon Dalton, Jr (Aresa) of Anderson, SC, Lynn Dalton (Becky) of Asheville, Clyde Motley (Sharon) of Candler and Durk Motley of Charleston, SC; brother, Wayne Dalton of Rockwell, SC; grandchildren, Morgan (Greg), Hunter (Jessica), Taylor, Shannon (Jason), Stephanie (Jay), Grant (Chassidy), Dustin (Annamarie), Cory (Jenny); Jordan, Ryan, Logan (Karissa), and Sydney; great grandchild, Bristol; special nephew, Grady Howard (Barbara); and his pets, Lizzie and Moe.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 4:00 pm at Ridgeway Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Collins officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:45 pm prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ridgeway Baptist Church, Baptist Men, 525 Old Hwy US 19-23, Candler, NC 28715.

I know this is not an easy time and I'm thinking of you all. He was such a wonderful person to talk to or to even be around. My Dear Barbara, I am so so sorry I can't be with you. I will miss hearing "doing fine" each day I called. He was so positive no matter how he felt. He has a special place in heaven, and will watch over you from there. Have comfort in that thought my dear "sister".
