Andrew Katsock Obituary

Andrew A. Katsock Jr., 80, of Plains Twp., passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at his home.

He was born July 13, 1941, in Wilkes-Barre, a son of Andrew and Angela Rak Katsock. A 1959 graduate of Marymount High School, he enjoyed working on cars and this led to his first job as a fleet mechanic for Gold Cup Bakery. He later worked for Bell Telephone for 32 years in fleet management and building maintenance management. Following his retirement, he performed consulting work for Wick Fisher and White and was also a crossing guard for the Wilkes-Barre Area School District for 15 years. Andrew was a devoted member of St. Andre Bessette Parish, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Stroudsburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Henry Dlugosh.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Arlene (Matyscak) Katsock; son, Attorney Andrew Katsock III and his wife, Susan, Wyoming; daughter, Yvonne Katsock, Jenkins Twp.; grandchildren, Christopher Ebert Jr. and his wife, Mary; Rachel Kenny and her fiancé, Blair; Alexandra Katsock; Andrew Katsock; sister, Dolores Dlugosh; brother, Joseph Katsock and his wife, Sharon; and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Andre Bessette Parish, 668 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, by the Rev. Kenneth Seegar. Entombment will be in Mary Mother of God Mausoleum in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday in the church.
