Anthony Struzzieri Obituary
Born in the Old Boston section of Jenkins Township, he was the son of the late Angelo and Lena Nardone Struzzieri.
Tony was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School, and was employed as a truck driver by Addy Asphalt for more than 20 years.
He was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin, The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 401, Wilkes-Barre, and The Old Boston Roma Club.
Tony was a devoted patron of The Lincoln Inn, Dupont, where his smile and kind words always made you feel welcome. His kind heart and generosity, especially around the holidays, will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Beverly Landon, on March 6, 1983; sister, Patricia Ralston; and his brother, Vincent Struzzieri.
Surviving are his daughters, Lori Struzzieri and her boyfriend, Bruce Bronsburg, Larksville; and Tina Sperazza and her husband, Joseph, Old Boston; his son, Anthony Struzzieri, Old Boston; his devoted dog and buddy, Snickers; nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Charles Manganiello, Dr. Mark Bernardi and the nurses at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, MS 5 West, for their special care of Tony.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Drive, Laflin.
The Parish Rosary Group will recite the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Rosary in the church a half-hour before the Funeral Mass. All are invited to join them.
Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

MY HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES. TONY WAS MY BEST FRIEND GROWING UP ON SMITH ST. DUPONT AND ALSO VINCENT THAT WE NICKNAMED LITTLE PEAR. WE ATTENDED SCHOOL IN THE SAME CLASS UNTIL THE FAMILY MOVED I THOUGHT TO OLD FORGE? BUT THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO. THYANKS ALSO FOR THE MENTION OF THE LINCOLN INN OWNED BY MEMBERS OF MY FAMILY.
