Edward Judge Obituary

Edward J. Judge Sr., 62, of Hughestown died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, in the Regional Medical Center, Scranton.

He was born in Pittston on April 20, 1951, and was the son of Ann (Runski) and the late Edward Judge.

Edward was a member of Our Lady of the Eucharist Church, Pittston.

He was a graduate of Pittston Area High School. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War.

Edward retired from the Hughestown Police Department as a sergeant. He was a member of the Luzerne County FOP and the American Legion of Duryea.

In addition to Edward's father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debra (Alexander) Judge, who died July 3, 2011.

In addition to Ed's mother, he is survived by his son, Edward Judge Jr., Hughestown; his daughter, Holly Judge, Hughestown; his sister, Cheryl (Miller) Goul, Duryea; and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Monday in Our Lady of the Eucharist Church, 535 N. Main St., Pittston, with the Rev. Thomas Maloney officiating.

Friends may call for visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.

Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church Monday, as there will be no procession from the funeral home. The AMVETS Honor Guard will provide military honors.

Interment will be held in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea.
