Edward "Roy" Ridall, 99, of Benton, went home to be with his lord and savior on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, at Allied Hospice, Meade St., Wilkes-Barre.
He was born in Shickshinny, Nov. 18, 1924, and was the son of the late Ernest and Rebecca Ridall.
Roy retired from Garrison Elementary School of the Northwest School District, where he was the custodian. He was a member of the Living Word Baptist Church, Sweet Valley. Roy enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Maude Douthat, Margaret Johnson, Cora Doty, Marion Shultz and Jean Conger; and brothers, Gaylord and Jack Ridall.
Roy is survived by sisters, Sarah Ridall and Kathleen Crispell; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in Living Word Baptist Church, 40 Hess Lane, Sweet Valley, with the Rev. Raymond D. Purdy Jr., officiating.
Arrangements are from Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
