Francis E. Cromer Sr., 72, of Dallas, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on Mar. 20, 1949, he was the son of the late Robert and Helen Pavlowski Cromer.
He was employed by InterMetro, Plains Twp., for 38 years, until his retirement. He was an avid sportsman, who loved to hunt and fish. He was also a New York Yankees baseball and a Washington Football Team fanatic.
He was preceded in death by his son, Francis E. Cromer Jr.; and brother, Donald Cromer.
Surviving are his wife, Karen Klinges Cromer; daughter, Jessica Cromer; sons, Jason Cromer and his companion, Stephanie; Blair Cromer and his wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Francis III, Ryan, Bradley, Caleb, Olivia, Sophia, Harper and Ellie; sisters, Roseanne Cromer, Janice Cromer, Diane Cromer and Robin Cromer; brother, Robert Cromer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial funeral service will be held at noon Friday from George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. Inurnment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Friday. The family will require everyone in attendance to wear masks.
