George J. Czajkowski, 72, of the Hanover Green section of Hanover Twp., passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021, in Allied Services Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Charles and Harriet Jamilkowski Czajkowski. George was a graduate of Marymount High School and King's College in Wilkes-Barre.
George proudly served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard with the 109th Field Artillery for 21 years, retiring as a sergeant first class in 2007.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Lane Czajkowski, in 2009; and by his brother, Robert Czajkowski.
George is survived by his sons, George Czajkowski and his wife, Kimberl; and Geoffrey Czajkowski and his wife, Linda. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jackson and Jillian Czajkowski; brother, Charles King and his wife, Marie; sister, Carol Daru and her husband, George; sister-in-law, Victoria Czajkowski; several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family, with interment in Hanover Green Cemetery, Hanover Twp. There will be no public calling hours.

I'm saddened to hear of George's passing. We went to Marymount together for 12 years and then King's. George was a great guy. My condolences to his family and friends. May the Good Lord bless and keep him.
