Hazel "Sis" Dennis, 84, of Pittston, passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, in Allied Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Pittston on May 4, 1937, she was the daughter of the late John and Hazel Naugle Morgan.
Sis was a graduate of Pittston High School. In her earlier years, she had worked at the Pittston Cigar Factory and Phillips Seafood, Exeter. She also worked for the Pittston Area School District and the Pittston Senior Center.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Dennis Sr., and brothers, Jack, Eugene, David and Raymond Morgan.
Surviving are her children, Joseph Dennis, Jr. (Barbara), Hunlock Creek; Cheryl Renna (Peter), Old Forge; Jennifer Peterson (John), Pittston; and David Dennis (Nory) Harding; grandchildren, Megan Murphy (Lilian); John Peterson (Kristin); Justin Peterson (Lanie); Trisha Joyce (Ryan); and Nicole Dennis; brother, George Morgan (Lucille), Exeter; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Sammy.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Adonizio Funeral Home LLC, 251 William St., Pittston. Religious services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7 Wood St., Pittston. Interment, Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
