Jean Atkinson Obituary
Born in Sweet Valley, she was the daughter of the late George and Maude Nulton Wesley. Jean was the eldest of 11 siblings. She was a graduate of Dallas High School.
She worked and retired from General Cigar, Kingston.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Bruce W. Atkinson; and son, Wesley B. Atkinson.
Surviving are her children, Charles Atkinson, Pittston; Eleanor Atkinson Cool, Plymouth; Edward (Sam) Atkinson, Wapwallopen; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings.
Private services will be held at the convenience of family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., Shavertown.

Sam and Family,
Just wanted to tell you I am so sorry for your loss, Jean was such a big part of my life. She was my other mother, she never had much but offered all to whomever needed it. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. If there is anything I can do, please do not hesitate, I will be here for you.
