Jean M. Roberta, of Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Elvira Genoble Biscotti Roberta.
Jean was a graduate of Hughestown High School and Lackawanna College, Scranton. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Wilkes-Barre.
Jean was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She also served as a Eucharistic minister and was a daily communicant.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her sister, Mary A. Biscotti; and a brother, Frank N. Biscotti, who was killed serving his county.
Surviving are cousins who always referred to her as Aunt Jeannie, Joseph Novak, Mountain Top, and children, Nadia, Milan and Joseph; and John and Donna Novak, Taylor, and children, Paul, John and Ana.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Adonizio Funeral Home LLC, 251 William St., Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St., Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church.
