Most sincere condolences to Ann Marie and Family. Joe was a real gentleman and good friend.

When I was at King's, Joe broadcasted in the Golden Age of King's College basketball when their schedule included American Univ., St. Joseph's, Univ. Of Penn and even Norte Dame. Joe made you feel like you were at the game - a broadcaster's highest compliment.

Best thoughts and prayers to the Gries family.

To the entire Gries Family (and especially Colleen and Maurita):
I am so sorry for your loss. Joe was a gentleman in every aspect of that word. He hired me at WBRE radio when I was still in college and that early experience helped me greatly when, years later, I taught journalism at Wyoming Valley West High School. I pray that your many wonderful memories will assuage your pain.
