Kathy Drouse Obituary

Kathy Romanko Drouse, 62, of Avoca, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

She was born in Jenkins Twp. on June 5, 1958, the daughter of the late Casey and Marie Carlin Ostrowski.

Kathy was a member of Queen of the Apostles Parish, Avoca. She attended Pittston Area High School and worked for many years in local area factories. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Daniel and David Romanko.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Drouse, Scranton; daughter, April Wanalista, Avoca; her long-time companion, John Wanalista; her twin sister, Karen Kozak, Avoca; sisters, Gail Volch, Swoyersville and Lynn Bennie, Wilkes-Barre; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are by Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
