Leonard A. Makarczyk III, 43, of Mountain Top, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at his home.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on May 14, 1979, he was the son of the late Leonard A. Jr. and Patricia Mihalko Makarczyk.
Len was a graduate of Hanover Area High School, Class of 1997. He received his associatedegree by attending Luzerne County Community College and East Stroudsburg University.
He was employed by R.K. Hydro-Vac of PA Inc., Pittston.
Len loved to hunt & fish. He also loved everything baseball and he was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. Most of all, Len loved to spend his time with his family, especially his children, Baylee and L.J.
Surviving are his loving wife of 14 years, Laura Gerth-Makarczyk; daughter, Baylee; son, L.J.; sister, Tracy Collotty and her husband, Phillip; and several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A blessing service will be held at noon Tuesday from George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
Family & friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Tuesday.
