Lois Villella Obituary

Lois A. Buydos Villella, 83, of Jermyn, and formerly of Glen Lyon, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Nanticoke on Jan. 18, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Grace Sims Turley.

Lois was a graduate of Nanticoke High School and was employed in the garment industry until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Martin in-the-Fields Church, Mountain Top.

Lois was preceded in death by her first husband, Frederick John Buydos; grandchildren, Erick, Ashley and Marc Zaborney; and sister, Muriel Pristas.

Surviving are her husband, William J. Villella; daughter, Linda Zaborney and her husband, Albert; son, Nathan Buydos and his wife, Elsie; grandchildren, Albert, Jason, Matthew, Jennifer, Jessica, Jonathan and Susan; step-grandchildren, Jennifer and Chad; great-grandchildren, Jason, Samantha, Matthew, Zachery, Tyler, Elizabeth, Austin, Jonathan Jr., Helene, Elyse and Nova Lea; and great-great-granddaughter, McKinley.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Martin in-the-Fields Church, 3085 Church Road, Mountain Top, with the Rev. Daniel Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, Mountain Top.

Funeral arrangements are by George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., Glen Lyon.
