Matthew C. Harm, 38, of Kingston passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022.
Matthew was born July 18, 1983, in Philadelphia, to Christopher and Regina Harm. He was a 2001 graduate of St. Joseph's Preparatory School, Philadelphia, and a 2005 graduate of King's College, Wilkes-Barre.
In 2009, he married his college sweetheart, Tiffany Stine Harm and over their 20 years together, had three beautiful daughters, Olivia, 9; Veronica, 7; and Georgia, 4.
Matthew was known for his love of books and his passion for history, which he shared with his beloved and recently departed uncle, Mac. He was a self-taught musician and he had the ability to hear a piece of music and replicate it on the piano or electric guitar. Whenever possible he tried to introduce "the classic movies" to his daughters and his list would always start and end with "Young Frankenstein" as a viewing option they all could agree on.
He had a charming smile and a tremendous wit. His kindness and compassion for people were evident from the time he was a child. Matthew made a point to always welcome people into his circle and to make them feel good about themselves.
He was surrounded by love and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Besides his wife and daughters, Matthew is survived by his parents, Christopher and Regina; his brother, Daniel (Nicole); his sister, Jacqueline; and his niece and nephews, along with aunts, uncles and many cousins.
The funeral will be held at 9:45 a.m. Saturday from Maher-Collins Funeral Home, 360 N. Maple Ave., Kingston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. in the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola. Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe account has been established for his children and is available at gofundme.com/f/support-matt-harm-family.

Tiffany, I am so sorry to hear this news. I always liked Matt, and he clearly adored all of you. What a sweetheart he was—so fun and kind and always thinking of others. I remember too how he loved to think about the things he saw and read, like that play we saw at Quantum that he couldn’t stop talking about. I’m sure he passed on many of these wonderful traits to your beautiful girls. Thinking of all of you and sending lots of love and prayers your way. May perpetual light shine upon Matt. All love surround him and you and your family now and always. Love never dies. Matt will always be remembered fondly.

I was a classmate of Matt’s from 1st to 7th grade at Queen of Heaven. From what I remember he was ALWAYS kind, easy-going, and had smile on his face and could easily make us laugh, intentionally or not. His mom sang at my mom and step-father’s wedding at Q of H Church during the blizzard ‘96. All my love and strength to his family on the difficult days ahead, and peace be found in the memories you all made together.

I had the pleasure of working with Matt at TriState Capital Bank. He was a joy to be around. Always that big smile and a true gentleman. My deepest sympathy to Tiffany, his beautiful daughters, Chris, Regina and family. He will certainly be missed by all that were blessed to have known him. He is with our Savior. Until we meet again in Paradise, Rest In Peace Matt!
