Peter Wallace Obituary
Born Nov. 13, 1950, in Edwardsville, he was a son of the late Peter Paul Wallace Sr. and Catherine Curley Wallace.
He was a graduate of West Side Tech High School and faithfully served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Wallace was a site superintendent for Environmental Remediation and was last employed by URS Corp. until his retirement in 2009.
He was a member of the NHRA, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and racing cars.
Surviving are his wife, Connie Scimeca Wallace; four children, Angie Evans Coolbaugh, Wilkes-Barre; John M. Volansky and his wife, Tanya, Cambra; Jolyn Wallace, Dallas; and Bernadette Wallace, Benton; 15 grandchildren; and five sisters, Margaret Mooney, Dolores Gattuso, Kathleen Regan and her husband, Thomas, Maryion Wallace and Betsy Regan and her husband, Butch.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Peter Paul Wallace III, on Jan. 15, 2011.
Funeral services and military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Raven Creek Presbyterian Church, 993 Upper Raven Creek Road, Benton, with the Rev. O. Allen Lumpkin officiating.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday at McMichael Funeral Home Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road (state Route 487), Benton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Benton Council of Churches, P.O. Box 285, Benton, PA 17814.

I worked with Pete at Dames & Moore and URS. He was not only the consummate professional but a pleasure to work with. He was quick with a humorous story and always had a smile on his face. My condolences to his entire extended family
