Victoria Janusziewicz Obituary

Victoria Ann Janusziewicz, 73, of Hanover Township passed away Friday, July 23, 2010, at home.

Born Dec. 25, 1936, in Plymouth Township, she was the daughter of the late Peter John Rutkowski, Eva Zukoski and stepfather, Joseph.

Victoria was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth.

She was an avid fan of Penn State and the Phillies. She loved to read, cook and shop. She especially loved her family and her cat, Kitty Cat.

She shared 53 years of marriage with her late husband, Joseph W. Janusziewicz, who died Feb. 17, 2010. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Andrew Janusziewicz.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Thomas and her husband, Bob, Dallas; Joseph W. Jr. and his wife, Jacqueline, Plymouth; Evangeline Richards and her husband, Robert, Nanticoke; John and his wife, Dariee, Kingston; Victoria Massage and her husband, James, Glen Rock; and Mary Jo Charney and her husband, Daniel, Harding; grandchildren, Jason, Joseph and Jeremy Janusziewicz; Robert, Paul and Rachael Richards; Christian and Zachary Janusziewicz; Marissa and Rebecca Charney, Robert, Ryan, Michael, Lindsey and Matthew Thomas; Matthew Curley and Jason Swaboda; two great-grandchildren, Alyiah Thomas and Chase Swaboda; brother, Pete Rutkowski and his wife, Carol, Plymouth; sister, Mary Shively and the late (husband) Maurice Carveton; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Friday in All Saints Parish, 66 Willow St., Plymouth. Interment will be in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth Township. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. May she be at peace after her time of suffering here on earth. I'm sure she and Joe are dancing in heaven.

I don't think I've seen you since high school but I remember your mom very well. Very sorry to hear of her loss. It's very hard to lose a mother...almost 6 years since I lost mine. I hope you find peace soon and remember her with smiles.
