Andrew Cox Obituary
Andrew was born December 11, 1988, in Hutchinson, Kansas, the son of Wendy Cox and Paul Cox. He attended Topeka High School and participated in the JROTC program. Andrew had a sweet, gentle soul, contagious smile and loved his friends and family. He enjoyed looking good, clothing, animals, children, and helping others.
Andrew is survived by his mother, Wendy Cox, Topeka; father, Paul Cox (Marcia), Washington; maternal grandparents, Dan and Sharon Deming, Hutchinson, Kansas; paternal grandmother, Diana Leuschner, Washington; aunt and uncle, Shannon and Doug Guild, Arkansas; special friend Danielle Hokanson and her father, Robert Hokanson. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sally Kern, and paternal grandfather, Gary Cox.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Due to the pandemic, masks and social distance are absolutely required.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Andrew to the Helping Hands Humane Society, or your local animal shelter, and sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to

I have such fond memories of my time with Andrew. He took me under his wing in JROTC at Topeka High. I can vividly remember going to lunch with him and hanging out after school. He made a lasting impact on me with the way he cared for me and had my back. My condolences to Andrew's family and loved ones. He was a special soul.

I am so sorry to hear of Andrew's passing. I will never forget the year him and my son dressed up like girls for Halloween. They honestly pulled it off. On occasion I would see him at CVS. He was on his way to class. Have to have snacks he said to get thru. We always asked how the other one was doing. He was always a pleasant young man in my presence and well mannered. Andrew you will be missed. May you R.I.H.
