Betty Dittemore Obituary

Betty L. Dittemore, 81 of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away March 3, 2009. She was born February 12, 1928 in Topeka, Kansas to Marion and Gladys (Ladner) Root. She grew up in Topeka, Kansas with one brother, Don. She graduated from Topeka High School and attended college at Washburn University and Kansas State University. After school she worked at clerical jobs and then became a homemaker to daughters, Diane, Gail, and Jan. Once her children were older she worked from 15 years as an EKG technician at St. Francis Hospital. She married Fred Dittemore on May 16, 1948 in Topeka, Kansas. They resided in Topeka until 1994, when they moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. She loved the mountains, music, birds, reading and her family. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother. She is survived by her husband, Fred of 60 years; daughters, Diane (Bob) Kowardy of Laramie, Wyoming, Gail Dittemore of Littleton, Colorado, Jan (Warren) Dunn of Laramie, Wyoming; and two granddaughters, Kelly and Tracy Dunn of Laramie, Wyoming. There will be no services held per Bettys wishes.
